Cheerful Sky Sora has brown hair, which is not only a natural haircolor (omg!), making it not appear exclusively in japanese productions (not that unnatural hair Although not a lot of japanese people have naturally brown hair, it is still not uncommon to them (lots of caucasian people have it etc.), plus it's mostly only a lighter shape of black and in anime (and games), is usually used in that way - to create a 'normal' appearance that is a little softer than pure black. Now, Sora's hair is in a lighter or middle brown (not a dark tone, at least), so it doesn't look very close to black. And brown is a very warm color indeed, fitting his character perfectly - he is not only the "boy next door" in the beginning (just a usual person having to face strange events), he is also very warm-hearted and blithe; thus the 'soft' color. In addition to that, his eyes are blue (which is actually rather uncommon for brown hair according to my own experience, but it's only a game anyway). It's pretty obvious what blue eyes stand for, apart from their prettiness (*cough*) - it's the same color most babies' eyes have when they are born, therefore it's a sign of innocence, another trait Sora definitely has. Plus, he can also seem rather blue-eyed (stupid pun intended) at times, so I think it fits him good (although that adjective probably doesn't exist in Japan, its etymology only comes from the child connection anyway). His tanned complexion (in comparison to, for instance, Riku) is a sign for physical health and sportiness (additionally, a lot of, uhm, athletical characters tend to have darker skin - probably because it makes them look more outgoing, as 'sporty' persons are believed to be outside more often than couch potatoes). Since Sora is some kind of a wild child, I think it's fitting for him. -------------------------------- (CC) BY-NC-SA Image from Same Sky PHP from Celestial Star JavaScript from Dynamic Drive CSS from Cascading Style Sheets Kingdom Hearts by Square Enix & Disney Please don't steal or copy, OK? |
